In 2006 a group of friends, all variously active in organizations promoting critical consumption and fair trade, decided to “get real” and Zenzero Cooperative was born. Since 2008 the focus of our activity has been Organic Catering.
Relaxed, informal, unhampered by any rigidly hierarchical structure, we nevertheless offer a strictly professional and high-level catering with top-quality cuisine, based on genuine and ethically-sourced products, and a wide range of services for all types and sizes of event.
We use almost exclusively high-quality produce from certified organic/biodynamic farming.
We employ only the freshest seasonal produce.
We buy directly from producers and almost exclusively from small local farms (zero food miles!) so as to minimize environmental impact and to support place-based and small-scale economy.
Ingredients that cannot be sourced locally (sugar, coffee, cocoa, spices, etc.) are acquired through the fair trade network.
We do not buy bottled water, serving only filtered tap water in jugs.
We operate with maximum transparency, providing our clients with detailed information sheets on ingredients and on producers.
We design and execute original arrangements for any event, with simple, natural decorations. Great care is taken in the presentation of food.
All our waste is sorted for recycling. We use disposable tableware only if absolutely necessary, and employ only biodegradable items.
